A true acknowledgement is a recognition that we know and understand the lore about how to stay safe on Country and how to keep Country safe. I don't have this knowledge, but I am working towards living, working and playing on Country in a respectful way that works towards First Nations People gaining self-determination and decolonisation. I acknowledge that I live and work on the unceded countries of the Kurnai and GunaiKurnai People and pay my respect to all elders past and present. I also acknowledge all First Nations People and acknowledge their long unbroken connection to Country.
