What does it take to be an outdoor therapy facilitator?

Gippsland Adventure Therapy's team have vast experience within their chosen disciplines. We've come from a career in adventure guiding and have developed our therapeutic skills and training or are a mental health professional who've taken therapy outdoors. 

An example of the experience and training you can expect from the Gippsland Adventure Therapy Team: 

Degree level or higher training in trauma

Diploma level or higher in counselling

Diploma level or Certificate in Outdoor Recreation

Diploma level training in community/youth services 

Nationally accredited competencies in guiding adventure activities

Advanced first aid

Combined over 20 years experience in working 1 to 1 therapeutically with young people with complex needs
