As Christmas rolls around and we enjoy the summer weather, I’d like to wish you all the very best for the holiday season and a safe and happy 2022.
The start-up phase of any new business is a daunting one. With your support and the support of our wider community Gippsland Adventure Therapy is off to the very best start.
I would like to take a moment to thank all of you for your support and encouragement throughout the year. To all those who have come along for sessions and our community days, thanks for making this work so enjoyable. It has been a pleasure getting to know you all and exploring the outdoors with you. We’ve had lots of fun along the way and some pretty epic adventures!
While planning out our summer adventure offerings, I was encouraged to reach out for funding support to help deliver specialised adventure activities.
EPEC Group answered the call and I am so grateful for their support. EPEC Group is an electrical engineering contractor, providing high voltage power engineering services to the renewable power generation industry.
They are a solutions focused organisation working to create a brighter and more sustainable future. EPEC Group have very generously donated to Gippsland Adventure Therapy for the purchase of equipment for our 2022 programs.
Their support will mean greater access to water based activities and bike riding for Gippsland Adventure Therapy participants. The money will be used to purchase equipment including wetsuits, surf boards, snorkel and fins (including new full-face snorkel masks), bikes and bike rack as well as upgrading some other equipment.
Donations like this blow me away and will continue to make a positive impact in our community for years to come. A huge thanks to the team at EPEC Group.
As we prepare to say farewell to 2021 please get out there and enjoy all the wonderful natural treasures Gippsland has to offer. From my family to yours, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I look forward to all the exciting things 2022 has to offer.
Yours in adventure
Doug
